What is Microblading?
Eyebrow Microblading, or Eyebrow Tattooing
Gina’s eyebrow method is a tattoo done by hand and not with a machine. This process is known as Microblading. Microblading is also referred to as eyebrow embroidery, feathering or 3-D eyebrows.
This method is the finest form of eyebrow tattooing, using a pen-like device with a disposable microblade attached to scratch and etch very thin lines into the skin mimicking eyebrow hairs.
When using the hand-held microblade, the color (pigment) is deposited closer to the surface than when a machine is used. What you’re left with are very fine, crisp hair strokes with no spilling under the skin. These lines heal thinner and sharper and there is less blurring over time.
With this method, Gina is able to create almost any look, from a very natural finish or a beautifully bold, fluffy brow. Each set of brows she designs is customized to you, your measurements, and the color we choose to compliment you without any makeup. Your new brows can easily be amped up for an evening out with a little added brow makeup.
Microblading is great not just for anyone looking to improve or enhance the appearance of their brows, but also for those with fine, sparse hairs or those brows with gaps left from over-waxing or over-plucking. For those suffering from alopecia, sparse or missing brows can be completely restored. The strokes are more visible when there is contrast between skin and pigment color. Depending on skin type, colors chosen, and lifestyle, your new brows can last 1-3 years.
